I served as editor of Intersections South L.A., which was a part of USC's school-affiliated news outlet Annenberg Media. I reported on housing and gentrification in the region and guided and edited reporters on the desk through reporting on this community. I also handled social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and created a weekly newsletter on MailChimp
Kate Sequeira is the audience editor for the Los Angeles Times early childhood education initiative. She previously covered Los Angeles Unified for EdSource and worked as a production specialist on The Times’ Reading by 9 literacy project. She also worked as a social media/web producer and general assignment reporter for inewsource. Sequeira graduated from the University of Southern California as a member of the Order of the Laurel and the Palm. Before graduating, she served as editor-in-chief of the Daily Trojan.
