My work

I oversaw all aspects of annual parent reading guide, including production, promotion, design, digital presence and distribution as the production specialist for the initiative. I expanded distribution of guide for print circulation by more than 200,000 to 423,000 over two years. I also planned and facilitated onsite and marketing presence of our first charitable partner, Access Books, at 2019 L.A. Times Festival of Books. In addition to Reading by 9, I helped with long-term planning for youth platform High School Insider, including for events, the summer internship and content initiatives for the students. I mentored, edited and taught basic journalism skills to the high schoolers and also designed and proofed the inaugural HS Insider insert in Sunday L.A. Times for full-run circulation.
